There are lovely tree lined roads, and areas of very expensive houses.
We went up to the Citadel, which has the old fort (closing when we arrived) and lovely views over the city and harbour.
We always find on our cruise shore days that you can see the ship (whichever it is) in the most unexpected ways - looming above roof tops, peeping between houses.
We took a quick drive through the port on the way back to the ship, and then got to make our way through the massed souvenir stands (essential for moose shopping) and aboard. The ship was already steaming when we got back - the gangway was virtually pulled up behind us as we boarded.

| Already getting into bad habits. I ought to stress they are of course my mooses (meese?) |
would like to go back there. Bob was also very interesting on the subject of the Titanic, & Halifax's part in the disaster. And on the disaster in the harbour during WW2
