Rock wallabies!

Yesterday we headed up to the Tablelands (by no means the first visit, but the other photos aren't on the card currently in the tablet). Tish was on a late shift but we still have the hire car (it goes back tomorrow - we got an old Toyota thing big enough for all of us) so the rest of us headed to Mareeba. We headed for the Wetlands via a dirt track - some interesting things about like Australian bustards. And so into the centre.

EMU!!

From there we headed to Granite Gorge, and had a great time feeding rock wallabies. Well, daddy didn't. He's included here for scale! In case you wonder, the wallaby wasn't actually given Cameron's bag. As Doms said, greedy bugger. The sign was en route to wallaby rock - super spelling!

We stopped at a local ice creamery on the way home. It's just one of those things aunties have to do!

  1. Fancy being able to feed them like that. They must be very tame. Lovely pics of you all.
