Kitchen - Day 24

Have to be quick, I'm running late again.  The worktops have taken rather longer than Martin had hoped - an extra day - he's never worked with this material before.  But we are very nearly there now.

This is how they're doing the joint - glue on the tongue and obn the surface below, push together, squirt more glue into the small gap, squeeze hard and clamp - off in 40 minutes.  Then they have to remove the surplus glue, sand down and finally polish with an orbital sander, a fine white polishing cloth supplied with the worktops and the cleaner solution supplied.  Works a treat.

That's the corner by the gas hob
The corner by the cooker.......

The end of the dresser unit, where they had to attach an end strip......

Can barely find it up close - another few polishes and it will be completely gone
The breakfast bar isn't quite done - a final filler squidge of adhesive went in last thing, they'll scrape off the excess and polish in the morning.

The dresser unit had a couple of polishes today, and the area by the cooker where the microwave belongs has had just one - the rest is still to be done.  So here's how it's looking tonight.
