Kitchen - Day 4

This was sort of still a demolition day.  The final wall tiles were bashed out, and the final wall cabinets removed.  These will be going back up, but need to come down for the plasterers, when they do the ceiling.  The cooker tower will also have to come down then - at the moment we've just removed the cooker (it will be slithering about the kitchen on a little trolley for a while) because we couldn't get at the bolts going through the next wall cupboard otherwise.  And the wall cupboards had to come down to allow us to get the tiles off.

Martin then tidied up the floor tiles - as I'm relocating the drawer unit next to the hob we need to tidy up the tiles down there.  Martin has managed to prise out undamaged a floor tile that will be hidden by the "dresser" units, to complete the exposed floor next to the hob.

No work this afternoon - I had a hospotal appointment, and Martin had a roof leak to fix.  Tomorrow I think we'll be starting to sort out the radiators.

That's what you might call a mobile canteen!

  1. It's amazing! It's all so different now and quite difficult to sort out!

  2. It all looks rather sad. The idea of a slithering cooker is worrying ...
